Benches

Both styles of Amish Barkwood benches really look inviting on your lawn or patio.  They seem to belong alongside your picnic table.  You might even be able to forget the clock and escape the rat race when enough of these invite you to rest and linger among your flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Placing the benches in a garden or on a lawn gives you a great place to rest.  The rustic beauty of real log benches blends into a garden better than any plastic, concrete, or steel furniture could.  (Wouldn't it be great if every golf course had these set up at the tees and along the edges of the rough?  Then golfers could enjoy a slow pace of play.)

Our 60 inch long table can easily fit crosswise onto a porch.  As you can see above, with our separate benches alongside the table, you can easily slide in and out from the table.  If it rains, just slide in closer to the wall!  A long porch with a good view can be a great place to sit while drinking and snacking.  Just place the benches parallel to the wall, and use the table for serving a buffet.

Here the benches are serving as picnic table benches.  They are light enough for an adult to pick up and move, but less likely to blow around in a wind than plastic lawn furniture.  Even the tables can be moved from a deck or patio out to the lawn when the sun gets a little hot and you want to sit in the shade!

Here is a more rustic style that makes a great outdoor bench.  This style is known as the "log-leg" style because the vertical supports are whole logs.  The other kind is known as the "plank-leg" style because the vertical supports are made from thick wide planks.

Like the other style, these are light enough to be easily carried, but not so light as to blow around in a wind like plastic lawn furniture.  These make beautiful display stands for heavy clay flower pots or large wooden planters!
